I remember when Hasan Bazari and Jonathan Ripp first imagined a community dedicated to supporting the well‑being of those who care for patients—and for one another—and named it CHARM. Over the years, CHARM has grown into a force whose influence extends far beyond its members, inspiring institutions across the country to strengthen the morale and wellness of all who enter the healing professions. Its impact is real, needed, and deeply felt.

Joining the CHARM GME network has been extremely valuable to me personally and professionally. It provides a space where I can connect with colleagues from different institutions, openly share challenges, and feel supported. It is also a forum for exploring new approaches to addressing well-being in GME and has resulted in meaningful and productive research collaborations. An example being the development of a national survey examining mental health resources in graduate medical education the findings of which were recently published.
